Portable Dynamometer for Testing MV & HV Motors

Motomea's Portable Dynamometer, based on our unique patented IDS (Inertial Dynamometer System), can test medium voltage (MV) and high voltage (HV) three-phase motors in the field, in a simple way.

Our standard models cover three testing ranges:

  • 100 kW – 3000 kW, compatible with power analyzer 5650 series with current & voltage transducer.
  • 3000 kW – 8000 kW, compatible with power analyzer 5660 series with current & voltage transducer.
  • 8000 kW – 20000 kW, compatible with power analyzer 5670 series with current & voltage transducer.

System Capabilities: 

  • Provides static performance data, from stall up to no-load, within seconds, including:
    torque, speed, current, voltage, power input, power output, power factor, time, efficiency, frequency, direction of rotation.
  • Provides dynamic performance data, including:
    speed and torque spectrum, speed and torque oscillations, friction torque, friction spectrum, cogging torque level.
  • Motor performance data can be recorded in the system database, for comparison and statistical analysis.
  • Motor power switching is done automatically by the system.
  • Motors can be tested inside their applications.
  • Test results are provided graphically and tabulated.
  • Test reports in PDF and Excel formats.
  • Low-cost portable unit, with all the major motor performance tests of the IDS MotorLab® system.
  • Connects directly to any USB 2.0 port.

Calibration Calibration controlled by software. Adjustments are made through the software calibration interface. Calibration information is stored in the system database.
